The SSMO is a non-profit organization and does not pursue any commercial objectives.<\/p>\n<p>The SSMO finances its activities primarily through membership fees; donations from third parties are disclosed transparently. The independence of the SSMO is guaranteed at all times and is not compromised by donations from third parties.<\/p>\n<p>Cooperation between healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, conference organizers and industry is subject to legal requirements, professional regulations and codes of conduct. The SSMO relies on multi-sponsorship for its events\/conferences through several independent corporate contributions in sponsor categories with transparent sponsorship criteria. Cooperation with industry is documented and the funds received are disclosed on the website.<\/p>\n<p>The annually renewed sponsorship bindingly complies with the applicable regulations, in particular the Ordinance on Integrity and Transparency in the Field of Therapeutic Products (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedlex.admin.ch\/eli\/cc\/2019\/273\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TPITO<\/a>), the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samw.ch\/en\/Publications\/Medical-ethical-Guidelines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAMS guidelines<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scienceindustries.ch\/en\/article\/13702\/pharma-cooperation-code\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pharma Cooperation Code<\/a>. These ensure that independence is maintained. Pharmaceutical companies have no influence on the scientific program. Their participation in events is limited.
