{"id":8862,"date":"2024-10-31T16:05:01","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T15:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sgmo.ch\/?p=8862"},"modified":"2024-10-31T16:05:01","modified_gmt":"2024-10-31T15:05:01","slug":"current-status-of-spap-swiss-patient-access-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sgmo.ch\/en\/current-status-of-spap-swiss-patient-access-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Current status of SPAP \u2013 Swiss Patient Access Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Current status of the <b>SPAP <\/b>project (Swiss Patient Access Program):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The project has now been running for a little over a year<\/li>\n<li>The processes have been thoroughly tested and are well established<\/li>\n<li>24 experts have made themselves available to handle cases<\/li>\n<li>An initial interim evaluation of the cases submitted to date is being prepared and will be presented at the SOHC<\/li>\n<li>A third pharmaceutical company will join the programme at the beginning of 2025, with more companies in the pipeline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pro memoria: SPAP enables hardship cases to be reassessed in the processing of KVV Art. 71 and to provide such patients with <b>access to OLU therapies<\/b>. The prerequisite is the prior approval of two independent experts appointed by the SGMO. You can find more information about SPAP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spap.health\/de\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At this year&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sohc.ch\/en\/\"><b>SOHC<\/b><\/a> (20-22 November 2024, CCB Basel), various meetings on SPAP are also planned, including an exchange with the case-evaluating experts and an information event for pharmaceutical companies.
