The SSMO admits the following members
Ordinary member
Holders of an FMH title in medical oncology are automatically accepted as members of the SSMO. Ordinary members have the right to vote and be elected and currently pay a membership fee of CHF 250.00*
Extraordinary members
Academics interested in or engaged in clinical or experimental cancer research in the field of medical oncology; or doctors in training for the title of medical oncologist. Extraordinary members are automatically admitted provided they send the SSMO office written confirmation from their Swiss continuing education and training centre that they are undertaking further training at this continuing education and training centre to gain the specialist title of medical oncologist. Extraordinary members do not have the right to vote or be elected and do not pay membership fees.
Members who retire or go abroad may apply for passive membership. You can find more information in our statutes.
